Hi, I help a woman who transcribes a pastor's sermon using the Digital Voice Editor software. We had to replace her older XP computer with a new computer running Win 7 Home Perimum 64 bit. I have installed the latest version of DVE, but I am having a problem with it not responding. When a button or tab or even selecting a voice file is selected, the wait cursor appears and remains for several seconds without any response. The application title bar acknowledges the lengthy wait with the '(not responding)' message there as well. I have looked at system resources and we are not taxing the cpu or memory, the drive is new with very little on it, so its response too is very fast. It appears as though the program is waiting on some event or message before proceeding from every request, but I have no idea what device, event or semaphore it might be waiting on a response to continue.
