We have tried both Tversity and Playon - they work fine! They are both UPNP mediaservers and work with Playon!' S UPNP client. Currently Neflix can be watched via Playon software, while Hulu and Youtube can be watched via Playon and Tversity. There are plans to add native support for internet video streaming directly in Playon!HD but the schedule is not confirmed yet. Just extra info, Mediamall's Playon software and our AC Ryan's Playon!
Hardware is a pure coincidence in both companies naming their products at about the same time (great minds think alike?) in 2008. Expandrive Seriale. Both companies have briefly spoken and do not object to each other using the Playon name since there should be minimum confusion, one is a software, one is a hardware. In fact, it's cool that both products actually work with each other. I don't know if that's considered testing. Update, I am able to watch 1080p movies over the wired network so that's the good news. Tong Its Extreme Free Download For Pc there. I had to pause the torrent client on my PC to get stutter free play back since it's writing multiple threads to disk not to mention eating up the network bandwidth.
I played a few mp3 files. I thought that audio quality isn't that great coming out of the AC Ryan. Overall the unit does what it was advertised to do, it plays my HD movie collection. So I'm somewhat happy with it.
The major complaint for me is to get to my network folder from the power on takes so many steps/buttons to get to the movie folder. Basically, every time I want to watch a movie I have to go through 5 different screens, 15 total button press from the remote just to get to the movie folder. With XBMC I can set the default to take me straight to the movie folder on power on. The problem is you can not map a network folder as a shortcut. The only option you have is to map a network device/computer. So for example, if you have your movies in your C: My Documents Downloads Movies, it takes you to your Computer, then you have to select the C drive, then select My Documents then select Downloads, Movie. So that's a total of 4 different screens before you get to your movie folder in addition to the 3 different screens you have to go thru to get to your computer.
